Even today, most accounting workflows remain overwhelmingly manual, tedious and ****time-consuming. This is especially true for compliance workflows - mandated by legislation across the globe - that every business is legally required to complete.

At Briefcase, our mission is to radically automate these workflows from end-to-end, so humans can finally be freed from boring repetitive tasks.

Once upon a time, computer was a job title. Technology turned it into a tool, and the world became dramatically more productive because of it. Now we’re doing the same with repetitive knowledge work, laser-focused on one of the largest, most foundational industries in the world.

We are growing incredibly quickly. Our main problem is that we have more customer demand than we can serve which is why we’re hiring engineers.

Right now, we sell to 50+ 🇬🇧 UK-based accounting firms and we’re serving 1000+ of their clients. We work closely with the the firms we’ve partnered with and we often get real customer love from our users.

We’ve raised a $3m seed round from Earlybird, Tiny, and Entrepreneur First, alongside world-class angels such as Charlie Songhurst, the founders of accounting tech unicorn Pennylane and scouts from Sequoia and a16z.
